David G. Forbes - IN MEMORIAM                   RETURN to Executive Team

After a short battle with cancer at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital David passed away on October 31, 2012 at the age of 53 with his loving family by his side. Loving husband of Susan, devoted father of Jessica and Carter. Brother of Lynne Forbes and Nancy Urwin (Al). Loving uncle to Samantha, Rene, Amanda and Kyle. He will be sadly missed by all his friends and family. The family will be having a private interment. A celebration of David's life will take place on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Glen Abbey Golf Course, 1333 Dorval Dr., Oakville. In lieu of flowers, donations in memoriam to the Canadian Blood Services would be appreciated.

David will be deeply missed by all who knew him both personally and professionally.

David was responsible for spearheading Adara’s direct sales and sales channel objectives. In particular, in addition to seeking and interfacing directly with new Service Provider customers, David focused on areas where the adoption of Adara’s advanced service solutions, based on Cisco’s latest video technologies, can be accelerated through collaboration with the Cisco sales team and strategic partners. 

For 14 years prior to joining Adara in 2011, David was President, CEO, and Co-founder of End to End Advanced Technologies.  Collecting data from more than a million users around the world, End to End’s hosted services provided the software and instrumentation allowing Internet , Frame Relay and ATM service providers and enterprises to gauge network service quality from the “customer’s perspective”.

Previously, David spent two years in Norwalk CT as VP of North American Sales for FCI.  With headquarters in Versailles, France and with more than $600 Million in annual sales, FCI is a world leading supplier of electronic components to the telecommunications, computer, military and aerospace industries.

Prior to this David spent more than a decade with Augat Inc. in progressive, hands-on leadership roles  --  focused on CableTV, Telecommunications and various Electronic Manufacturing markets segments -- including General Manager of Augat’s Canadian subsidiary based in Toronto and, separately, as VP of Sales for USA, Mexico and Canada based in Attleboro, MA.

David had extensive work experience in North America and was bilingual (French, English).  He held an Honours Computer Science Degree from Sheridan College in Toronto.
